Weekly Photo Highlight

Porsche Boxster

What can I say?  I’m a sucker for sunsets and Porsches. This photo was submitted by Bob who just earned himself 5 more entries into our PorschePerfect.com Giveaway.

If you haven’t checked out our Photo Gallery, click on the link and check it out. Starting to see a nice range of pictures there. Need more submissions though. Come on, don’t be shy!

  1. nice pic Bob – when I saw this pic on the Porsche Perfect Flickr feed, I knew Ryan would choose this shot, and rightly so…can you tell us a little bit about how you shot it?

  2. Jeff W says:

That is a great picture. There are no bad beach pictures.

  3. Brad says:

Nice! the only thing that would make this pic better is if i could be transposed into the scene for real! :)

  4. Andrew says:

Nice shot Bob. I’d like to hear a little about the Boxster in the pic and some of the technical aspects of the shot as well. Thanks for sharing.

  5. Jeremy says:

as they say,the journey is half the fun.

  9. mitchell says:

that boxter – especially the color – fits the scenery perfectly!

  10. Phil Schneider says:

just add pretty girl, and perfect

  11. Russ says:

    where was it lifted from?

  12. Jeremy says:

Yea, the color schemes really work well here.

  13. Russ says:

Out of curiosity…the photos were supposed to be authentic ones taken by us right?

    • Ryan says:

@Russ (and everyone else) – You’ll notice in the rules for picture submissions that I didn’t specify. We just don’t allow copyrighted images. I think everyone assumed the images needed to be ones personally taken. My preference is some creativity and initiative, like nearly everyone who has submitted images has shown.

  14. Jeremy says:

I can’t wait to duplicate this shot with my 911, though I think that a nice shot in front of the Santa Monica Pier would be cool too.

  15. I’m just not sure whether I want to keep it long-term or not. Its nearly paid off, but insurance, maintenance and parking costs have me weighing my options.

  16. The older 911s were made to be driven, and simply sitting that much likely means there are many parts that have not been properly lubricated by running, and will be prone to failure once they come under regular use.
