That is pretty wild looking. I think I would have gone another direction with the mods.

The more i think about this, 425k for the Mirage upgrade (upgrade could be subjective in terms or opinion...no offense to Gemballa)

But at that price, I would take two stock CGT`s. My color choice woes have just been eased a little :)

I've thought about the question of modifying cars as well. I think that if the car is a special low production car you leave it alone like a GT3 RS. Regular 911 go ahead, with a car like the Carrera GT I would probably leave it. But if you are going to change it, do it right. Sometimes it can add to the value down the road if you stick with a well known Tuner like Gemballa or RUF. Think of those RUF turbos or the Gemballa Avalanche, who would turn one of them down?

I mean, it looks pretty BA - that's for sure. Still, for 2x the cost of the Carrera GT I would certainly expect at least a better boost in performance than 0.2secs 0-62 from stock. I wouldn't go for it, but if you're in the mood to "rice out" your Carrera GT (and still be fashionable of course).

I am one of those guys who thinks the CGT is BETTER in stock configuration and no word could be better used than "bastardizing" to define what body kits accomplish.....with the CGT that is.
However thats not to say this looks bad at all! But CGT seems to lose its purity (if that makes sense) when pimped out. Thats not a bad mark against Gemballa either, I can rattle off more than a handful of cool cars they have tweaked.

One thing i am not a fan of is blacked out wheels and i seem to stand alone. I think this Gemballa treatment would look even better if a satin (stock) finish was left to the wheel, Even if not a stock wheel.

I dont think blacked out wheels are a bad look, I just think satin is better. Probabably better than chrome though. Chrome is for hot rods and Peterbilts :) (not a bad thing either)
