Porsche Cayman ROAD TRIP!!!
Just got back last night (we pulled in to my driveway at 11:45pm) from a blitz road trip from San Diego, California in a Porsche Cayman. Was a blast and confirmed why I love road trips. I'll try and give the abbreviated version of the story.

One of a Kind Porsche for D.C.

I came across a story a few weeks ago about a guy named Eduardo Bodmer who had always wanted a Porsche. The title of the story is what caught me: "Check Out My Ride: Bringing a first-of-its-kind Porsche to D.C. meant doing things differently". Of course it grabbed me!
Porsche Cayman S Spotting
I know this isn't a crazy rare car or anything, but this pulled up across the street from my house yesterday afternoon. I grabbed my camera and shot a few stealthy photos of it (really, I was just trying not to look like an idiot spying on his neighbors). I ended up going out and talking to the guy who pulled up in it. Turns out it's my neighbor's son and he just rolled into town in this bad boy.

I read a couple of interesting articles today, both pimping the Cayman. This despite the second one being ABOUT the Boxster. Both are worth reading even if they are biased towards the Cayman. Even though I'm not a huge Boxster guy, I still think the car deserves a fair shake in it's own right and, hey, I'm all about loving ALL Porsches in 2009.

Could the Cayman Oust the 911?
I came across an interesting article today on The Independent in their Motoring section. Before I get into that though, why is it that the UK seems to have more motor enthusiasts, publications and general information per square inch of land than anyone else in the world? Guess bigger (as in the the size of the United States) doesn't actually mean better. Or maybe I'm missing some important press avenues here.
A Couple of Big Awards for Porsche
In the last couple of weeks, Porsche has won two of the industry's most coveted awards for several of its cars. The first is the Automobile Magazine All-Star award. Every year Automobile Magazine's staff get together to drive and compare ten different categories worth of cars. The 2009 911 is just the latest Porsche to win this prestigious award. Sometimes it takes a particular event, picture or experience to get me in the Christmas spirit. For instance, so far this year, it's been pretty sunny and unseasonably warm outside in Oregon.
