3 New Programs From TECHART
Hot on the heels of the GTStreet R customization (actually they were all announced at the same time), TECHART has released information on three more customization options for Porsche cars. Two are for the Porsche Panamera and one is for the Porsche 911 Turbo and Turbo S.
TECHART GTStreet R: Pure Driving Ecstasy
TECHART announced the GTStreet R based on the Porsche 911 Turbo yesterday. In true Porsche 911 Turbo fashion, the same mystique that has always held a special place in people's hearts since 1974, has been captured by TECHART in their latest interpretation. I simply LOVE the black with red accents. I was just mentioning to someone yesterday that there is something crazy sweet about black sports cars, especially when they have racing red sprinkled tastefully here and there.
Gemballa Avalanche GTR 650 EVO-R Wingdoor
I ran across the Gemballa Avalanche GTR 650 EVO-R Wingdoor version on the Gemballa site a week or so ago. I'd seen the GTR 650, but had not seen the Wingdoor facelift. I'm not sure what it is about funky door hinges, but I love 'em. It could be a combo of the Lamborghini Countach's vertical doors and the Delorean's gull wing doors from the 80's that started this love affair with something other than standard doors. I'd actually drive either one of those cars purely for the doors.
Gemballa Goodness
I was on the Gemballa press site today and ran across a bunch of Gemballa pictures from years gone by. A number of them are creations from the 80's. These are too good not to post.
DIY Electric Porsche 911
Wired.com had a great post recently about a guy who is building a Porsche 911 electric power car. He's converting a 1981 911 Targa using some top of the line electric drive train components.
Porsche 356 Speedster Conversion
This guy is a bit on the boring side. Don't let that scare because the car in this video is pretty cool. It's a kit car, but the electric conversion makes it desirable in my book. I doubt you'll make it through the full hour and forty minutes, but watch the first video. You'll get the highlights and get to see the big parts of the conversion.
TECHART GT Street RS Rocks The Track
I got an email this morning from TECHART about some very cool records they just set in their Porsche 911 GT2 based GT Street RS. This car is one sweet looking ride that really looks like it belongs more on the track than on the street. Course isn't that part of the whole point of this upgraded ride? I'm pretty sure it is.
Win a Porsche Outlaw 356
I read about this fundraiser last month, but completely forgot to post it on the blog. Maybe it was some subconscious move to try and increase my chances of winning one heck of a sweet Porsche Outlaw 356! James O. reminded me of it last week though, so now everyone will have a chance to get in on the action.
9ff Porsche Monstrous Supercar
News and links about the latest 9ff Porsche creation have been going around for a bit now. I'm late to the game, but still wanted to put this up because this is one of those crazy amazing supercars that stands to again propel Porsche to the top of the speed pack.
Porsche 959 Speedster
I really don't understand people sometimes. In this case, it's someone who took a 1977 Porsche 911 and completely bastardized the thing. I know a 1977 911 is not the most desirable car, but come on, I'd love to own one and would be proud to drive it.
