Porsche Number 1 – Where It All Began
I ran across this old press release and photos about Porsche No. 1 as it was headed to Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance a couple of years ago. This is great history lesson on the first Porsche ever build (and driven) way back in 1947/48. For those of you who don't know the history of the first ever Porsche, this is a must read.
One 15 Year Old's Porsche Dream Comes True
I'm always on the lookout for good Porsche stories. Some of them can be pretty inspiring and it's cool to see what kind of memories are built around the brand we love.
60 Years Of Porsche Milestones
Here's the second press release I came across at Porsche Cars North America. Some great milestones over the past 60 years.

Porsche: View From The Cultural Rearview Mirror
This is probably going to seem a bit strange, but I ran across 2 cool press releases today that I found to be pretty interesting. Rather than try and do some fancy re-write, I'm just posting them up in their original form here.

Porsche Story: Memories Of A Porsche 356
This is a great story I read on a NY Times blog. It details the adventure of one Porsche fanatic from driving a 1961 Beetle, pretending it was a Porsche, to the acquisition of the gorgeous 1965 356 pictured above. Definitely worth the quick read here: Memories of a Porsche 356.
Porsche 550 Coupe Video History
Man, with all this video footage from Goodwood, I'm really wishing I would have made it out to the event. Unbelievable how many amazing cars were there.
This video details the history of and behind a Porsche 550. Number 001 to be exact. What a car!
Teen Trades Up To Porsche Boxster
This is just too good not to post. I'm sure most of you have already seen this, but in case you haven't, you gotta check this out. This kid, Steven Oritz, started out with an old cell phone and, through a series of trades over the last two years, ended up with a 2000 Porsche Boxster S.
Porsche Cayman ROAD TRIP!!!
Just got back last night (we pulled in to my driveway at 11:45pm) from a blitz road trip from San Diego, California in a Porsche Cayman. Was a blast and confirmed why I love road trips. I'll try and give the abbreviated version of the story.
0 to 60 in a 2010 Porsche 911 Turbo…While Drinking a Coke!
I'm sure lots of you are going to be haters on this story/video. That's okay. It's just downright entertaining to me (I know, I'm a simple man at heart). At least he did this on a closed road/track. No need to bring up my Porsche 911 driving while eating an ice cream cone, which again, was a safe drive. It was slow and no traffic, so no need to come after me again on that one.

Mario Andretti
I came home yesterday to an issue of Success Magazine that was sent to me in the mail. It's not a magazine I would normally read (despite my desire to be successful!), but this one happened to have an article on Mario Andretti in it, so I gave it a quick read.
