Porsche 911 Sport Classic = Happiness
I happened on a post on Autoblog.com this weekend about the Porsche 911 Sport Classic. The title of it was "2010 Porsche 911 Sport Classic is proof that money really can buy happiness." Classic! Judging just from the video I posted a few months ago (911 Sport Classic Video), I'd have to agree. Based on styling alone, I absolutely love this car.

When you start getting up to 600, 700, 800 or even 1,000 horsepower, you're talking a world most of us will never experience. I can't imagine having that much power on tap. Maybe some of you can shed light on what it would even be like to drive a car with that much power on the open road.
Porsche 918 Spyder Pricing
It looks like Porsche has released preliminary pricing for the Porsche 918 Spyder concept car. Bloomberg is reporting it will be priced at 500,000 euros ($630,000) topping the previous most expensive production Porsche by $59,000. The Porsche Carrera GT was priced at $571,000. USA Today is indicating that at least 2,000 people have already committed to buying the 918 Spyder if it actually rolls off the production line.
First Ever Porsche 911 Turbo
This is an amazing find by a guy named Alex Nunez. He happened on what appears to be the first ever Porsche 911 Turbo at the Greenwich Concours d'Elegance earlier last month. He said it was a little tucked out of the way and unless you read the placard in front of the car, you'd think it was just another 1976 or 1977 930. This special car is the prototype 911 Turbo. The very first factory turbocharged Porsche 911.

This is a really cool video on the Porsche 917 with some great insight and tidbits about the car and it's history. Also included is driving footage and commentary. Reminds me of a couple of Porsche 917 slot cars I had when I was a kid. They, of course, were the fastest ones I had!

Tempting Porsches #27 – 959 Edition
Alright, this is California dreamin for sure, but I couldn't help but put these into a Tempting Porsches post. I happened on not one, but TWO Porsche 959s on Craigslist of all places. The Porsche 959 has always been one of the ultimate Porsches for me. Still is today. Both are for sale by the same company, Canepa Design, a US based tuner of sorts also possessing a nice collection of rare race and road cars.
9ff Porsche Monstrous Supercar
News and links about the latest 9ff Porsche creation have been going around for a bit now. I'm late to the game, but still wanted to put this up because this is one of those crazy amazing supercars that stands to again propel Porsche to the top of the speed pack.

TECHART Sets New Speed Record For Fullsize-SUVs
This hit my inbox last week, but I've been buried. Sorry for being late to the game on this one. It's just too good not to post though.
It seems TECHART got a driver, Sandro Reuter, to man up and test the upper speed limits of their TECHART customized Porsche Cayenne Turbo. How fast you ask? Oh, just a mere 200 MPH!!! That's nuts if you ask me. Sounds like they had to fine-tune things pretty carefully to get it to the magical 200 mph mark.
