Ezra Dyer, a writer for Automobile Magazine, took a Porsche 911 Turbo to the Spectre 341 Challenge this year. Originally organized by Hans Turner during his stint as the president of the Ferrari Owners Club of Southern California in the 1970's, the Spectre 341 is a 5.2 mile hill climb up Nevada Highway 341. The goal is to tackle 6,200 feet of elevation through 22 turns in a time of 3:41 or less. That requires an average speed of 85 mph.

I love the embedded screen showing alternate views during the run. He makes the entire thing look pretty dang simple. Great video overall.

We haven't had a Porsche Boxster video for a while. This one won't blow your socks off, but it's a great couple of minutes of a pair of Boxsters in some unbelievable scenery. If we were to base car buying decisions on the inspiration from videos, this week we'd all have a Boxster in the garage. Porsche does such a great job with their promo videos.

I don't usually post the car racing videos. For some reason I've never been all that into who's car is faster. This one caught my attention though because of the Switzer tuned Porsche racing a BMW, Lamborghini and a 9ff tuner Porsche. It's pretty entertaining.

The cars in this video are amazing. I didn't even know about the Goodwood Festival until last week. A heck of a range of cars giving a nice sample of Porsche's heritage. A mini Porsche museum of sorts. Anyone hit this festival?

Supposedly this is Porsche's response video to Mini's challange from last month of a race at Atlanta (which turned out to be a parking lot brawl). When Porsche declined, they issued this video as a response of sorts. Whether that's the case or not, who freakin cares. This video is definitely one of my favorite from Porsche so far. Course I say that about every Porsche video.

I think they should put Porsche videos on their own cable TV channel. I'd sit and watch them all day. Or maybe they should combine 24 with Porsche TV. Think of how many more bad guys Jack Bauer could track down if they put him into a Porsche 911 GT2 RS?!

WARNING!!! This video will: A. Make you want to start racing Porsches; and B. Make you want a Porsche 911 GT2 RS. Plain and simple.

I don't know why, but driver view mounted cameras create mesmerizing footage for me. I just can't seem to stop watching. In this case, James (or Waffle James as we've started calling him…ask him why) sent me a link to this video with a "video that must be posted" subject line. He was right.

I loaded up this video in between rounds of Halo with my son and we both ended up watching the entire thing on my iPhone. This is great footage and keeps fueling that racing bug that seems to live somewhere inside me.

It seems one Oregonian is expanding the "Keep Portland Weird" bumper sticker statement to the entire state. He has taken a 1982 Porsche 928 S and dropped in a Boing T-50 Turbine Engine. He completed the package with dual hood flame shooters.

Let me say again…ASININE.

If you take a look at the Car Lust post Brad originally sent me, there are some pretty entertaining comments on the post worth reading. Many of them disproving the viability of this setup, lack of performance, etc. You can see them here: Asinine or Awesome?.

I know Porsche 928's are less than desirable these days to most people. It's also reasonable to understand how people are getting their hands on them…being so cheap. But I just don't understand why someone would take a perfectly good Porsche and do something ridiculous like this. Unless of course the car was junked and they brought it back from the dead with their upgrades. I seriously doubt that was the case though. I wonder if anyone will ever buy the thing?

If the owner will email me back, I'll drive down and take a look at this thing first hand.

What does everyone think? Awesome or asinine?

This guy isn't going to win any awards on camera. He's probably a good writer. However, this is a decent walk around of the new 2011 Porsche Cayenne. I have to say, I'm starting to like the Cayenne more and more. My dad claims he'll disown me if I ever bought one. Says they're what people with too much money drive to show they have SO much money.

Hey, if I buy a Porsche Cayenne AND a Porsche 928, I'll be wifeless and fatherless. And again my immaturity comes out. All I can think about is how they're telling me not to buy them. Makes me want them all the more.

This is one heck of a sweet video. Especially the first couple of minutes. Porsche never ceases to amaze me with their videos. I love the Cayenne ripping through the field, then on the track. Some great footage and interesting explanations of some of the technology the Cayenne takes advantage of.
