I definitely am not trying to offend those of you who love the Cayenne.  Everyone likes different shapes and styles.  My wife hates 928s.  Says they look like Gremlins.  I personally still have a thing for them.  Nor do I consider myself a Porsche purist.  I love pretty much all of the models along with hacked up versions displaying Porsche maniac’s creativity.

But when I come across the Cayenne, I can’t help but wonder what Porsche was thinking.  The car really doesn’t have the beautiful lines of the traditional Porsche model.  Sure the “performance” is there in some way, shape or form.  The car is luxurious (beyond a typical Porsche) and gives the impression of Porsche from the inside.  It just seems like it shouldn’t carry the Porsche badge given it’s external appearance.  Perhaps I wouldn’t feel the same way if the Cayenne had a Volkswagon or a Mercedes badge on the hood.

Feel free to call me crazy or wholeheartedly agree.  I’m curious to see what other’s opinions are about the Porsche Cayenne.  Especially after having them around for a number of years.
